Today, with offices in both the United Kingdom and Mauritius, Pearl Representation continues to connect global travel suppliers with the UK market through expertise, relationships and a passion for delivering results.
Our Milestones
2014
Where It All Began
Pearl Representation was founded by Rakesh Joomuck after many successful years in aviation and tourism. His vision was simple: to help international Destination Management Companies grow their presence in the UK through strategic sales, marketing and business development. Starting in the MICE sector, Pearl quickly expanded into leisure and luxury travel, building strong relationships with tour operators, travel designers and agents across the UK.
2016-2021
Building a Global Network
As demand grew, so did our portfolio. Pearl expanded to represent carefully selected DMCs across Europe, Africa, Asia, the Americas and the Middle East. During this period, Matthew Walker joined as Commercial Director, helping strengthen our commercial strategy and accelerate growth. Together, they built a reputation for trusted partnerships, personalised service and measurable results.
2022
Pearl Global Collection Launches
To meet growing demand for hotel representation, we launched Pearl Global Collection, representing exceptional hotels, resorts and hospitality brands. Alongside our established Pearl DMC Collection, this created a unique portfolio that connects the UK's travel industry with outstanding destinations and world-class accommodation.
2023
Expanding to Mauritius
Opening our Mauritius office marked an exciting new chapter, bringing us closer to our partners across the Indian Ocean and strengthening our international presence. For founder Rakesh Joomuck, a proud Mauritian, it was also a personal milestone. An opportunity to support the destination and the local talents that inspired his passion for tourism.
2024
Celebrating 10 Years
In 2024, we proudly celebrated our tenth anniversary with clients, partners and friends from across the travel industry. What began as a specialist MICE representation company has grown into a respected international business representing leading DMCs, unique hotels and hospitality brands worldwide.
2025
Strengthening Our Presence
Rakesh Joomuck and Matthew Walker became shareholders in Emotions DMC in Mauritius, reinforcing Pearl's long-term commitment to the destination. This strategic partnership strengthens collaboration, enhances destination expertise and creates even greater and strategic opportunities for our partners and clients.
